RVFEST 2012 fellowship rally is planned for Sunday 17 June to Sunday 24 June at the Elkhart County Agricultural and 4H Fairgrounds, Goshen, Indiana. This year we arrive on Sunday and depart on Sunday by 1:00 PM because a Fleetwood rally of approximately 600 units is scheduled the following week. Even though the Fleetwood rally does not begin until Wednesday, the Fairgrounds are expecting early arrivals beginning Sunday 24 June. So we will not be able to stay after the rally, however, we can arrive early because there is no rally preceding RVFEST 2012 at the Fairgrounds.
The rally schedule has not been finalized; however, an application for the rally is available. If you plan to attend the rally, please notify me (Les) ASAP at LPotteiger@aol.com or (540) 220-7649. (I have 29 non-refundable $20.00 deposits from RVFEST 2011.) The deposit ensures a site for the rally. Rally fees are $295.00 for an RV with two people, $245.00 for an RV with one person and $100.00 for an extra person over 12. There is no charge for children 12 and under.
I have engaged three nights entertainment to date: Steve Jeffris, The Marlins and The Wasepi Bluegrass Gospel Singers. Steve entertained us last year. I expect to have two more nights entertainment engaged in the near future. I also am seeking speakers, seminar leaders, craft class leaders and vendors. If you have any suggestions or you would like to volunteer to give a seminar, craft class, etc., please contact me. This is our third RVFEST at Goshen – let’s make it the best! We will have our usual breakfasts and some evening meals, including pot-lucks as well as entertainment, games and a non-denominational church service before we depart on 24 June. As we have in the past, we will ask for and depend on volunteers to make the rally a success.
